The Phillips Road Bridge was built over Holcomb Creek, just west of Dick Road in 1974. The bridge has a timber frame that is beginning to show signs of decay.
The bridge will be replaced as part of County-wide initiative to replace timber bridges as they reach the end of their expected reliability.
The Phillips Road Bridge will be replaced with a concrete box culvert. The culvert will be built with pre-cast concrete parts, allowing for a quicker installation. The concrete box culvert is a cost-effective solution that can be installed faster than a bridge while still providing needed water flow.
